Compost

What is compost?

Compost is made from the aerobic decomposition of a variety of waste materials, including food scraps, animal manures, leaves, straw, and others.

Composting occurs when carbon-rich ("browns") materials such as straw and leaves are combined with nitrogen-rich ("greens") materials such as food scraps and manure.

Combine oxygen, time, skilled management, and the assistance of billions of microorganisms. The finished product is crumbly, fragrant, and nutrient-rich compost.
