As a classical farmer, we believed that food is the best medicine. When I began living a corporate lifestyle and noticed how much chemically grown food and lifestyle diseases were affecting everyone's daily life, I made the decision that I wanted to bring happiness to each human being's life through my farm-grown products.
After leaving the office at 8:00 pm, I started visiting people's apartments and houses and began explaining the value of organic, high-quality, all-natural food for personal wellbeing. It had no effect. This continued for a month before we decided to look online and learned there were events and flea markets happening.
We drove 55 kms to obtain 12 plastic bottles, which we then filled with 6 bottles of honey, 5 bottles of ghee, and a dozen plastic covers from a chips shop to fill with turmeric as we had no idea how to present at the event.
The journey of Svastya Organic Farms began right here, in Bangalore's VR Mall, with a table, four products, and a chair.
For the following year, we traded without a brand name. The response at this point was very good even though they only knew us by our first names.
At this point, I understood that proper presentation and branding are necessary in addition to quality to attract customers.
Because this was our ethos, we kept the name Svastya, which is Sanskrit for "health," and our tagline is "Highway to Happiness." Any product you purchase from Svastya Organic Farms will make you healthy, which will make you happy.
Following this, we began to develop as a brand from a group of individuals selling ghee, honey, and turmeric. Today, we are India's top premium, authentic organic health brand that is zero-waste, organic, and sustainable.
We have so far served customers in 35+ countries across 1300+ cities from our small village (Lokkanahalli) in a border region (Karnataka-Tamil Nādu, India). We sincerely thank each one of you for supporting us on this journey and entrusting us with the food you fed your families.
