Organic Bull-Driven Stone Cold-Pressed Niger Seed Oil
Pressed from hand-picked organic niger seeds in a traditional stone ghani turned by our bulls at just 4 rpm.
Prepared with care
The seeds are hand-graded to remove damaged seeds, stones, husks and dust, then sun-dried for two days. Each batch uses 12 kg of niger seeds with 2 kg of organic palm jaggery as a binder, plus a little coconut water. One slow cycle takes 90–120 minutes and yields about 1.8–2 litres of oil.
Settled and hand-filtered
The oil rests in a metal barrel for four days so the niger seed paste settles naturally, then spends 2–3 days in the sun to remove any remaining moisture. It is hand-filtered and poured into glass bottles.
Enjoy it
A traditional cooking oil with a mild, nutty flavour.

How to use organic bull driven Niger seed oil?
-Seasoning Cast Iron Cookware: Like other oils, Niger seed oil can be used to season cast iron cookware, such as skillets and Dutch ovens. Seasoning helps create a non-stick surface and prevents rusting.
-Wood Treatment: Niger seed oil can be used as a natural wood treatment to nourish and protect wooden furniture, cutting boards, and utensils. Applying a thin layer of oil helps condition the wood and enhance its natural beauty.
Traditional Medicine: In some cultures, Niger seed oil is used in traditional medicine for its purported health benefits. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties, although more research is needed to confirm these claims.
1. Immune System Support: The vitamins and minerals present in Niger seed oil, including vitamin E and zinc, play a crucial role in supporting immune function. Regular consumption of Niger seed oil may help strengthen the immune system and improve the body's ability to fight off infections and illnesses.
2. Digestive Health: Niger seed oil has mild laxative properties and may help promote digestive health by lubricating the digestive tract and easing bowel movements. It can be beneficial for individuals suffering from constipation or digestive issues.
3. Brain Health: The omega-3 fatty acids found in Niger seed oil, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), are important for brain health and cognitive function. Regular consumption may help support memory, concentration, and overall brain health.
